Steel shot is the ideal material for metal resurfacing, cleaning, and stripping. S-550 Shot, approximately .055", is used for heavy removal of large and medium sized castings, scale removal of forging and heat-treated work pieces, surface blast cleaning of steel plates, sections and steel structures, shot peening of work pieces, as well as cutting of granite. Choose the size which creates the desired result. S-230, S-280, and S-330 size shot produce a medium finish with good coverage. S-390 and S-550 are coarser for heavy iron and steel.
