Grit is a rough cut irregular material as opposed to the spherical shape of shot. Approximate size is .025". The GS-25 grit is used for aggressive surface blast cleaning of small sized castings, forgings and heat-treated pieces, aluminum and copper alloy castings, steel pipes and structures, and shot peening of work pieces.
