Steel shot is the ideal material for metal resurfacing, cleaning, and stripping. S-390 shot is a larger shot grade for heavy surface removal, appropriate for use with an airless blaster. It is used for large and medium-sized castings, scale removal from forgings and heat-treated workpieces, surface blast cleaning of steel plates, sections, and steel structures, and shot peening of workpieces. Choose the size that creates the desired result. S-230, S-280, and S-330 size shot produce a medium finish with good coverage. S-390 and S-550 are coarser for heavy iron and steel.
